      In recent years, the recovery of zinc has become increasingly important in steel mills. With the increase in the amount of hot-dip coated steel on the surface, the amount of zinc recovered from re-melting in steel mills has also increased significantly. There are two methods for treating zinc-containing waste: one is to treat only the appearance; the other is to process the recovered zinc into an oxide.

At the Linz Austrian Steel Plant in Austria, the dusty exhaust gas from the converter is dedusted by a cooler and the next step of the electric and bag filter. The coarse dust from the cooler and the low-zinc fine dust from the electrostatic dust are heated in a rotary kiln and pressed into a mass on a continuous production line, and the compact is returned directly to the converter for reuse.

The zinc-rich dust from the electric and bag filter is sent to another production line, the pelletizing system. Since the dust iron content and the lime content are high, and the working temperature reaches 150 ° C, sparks are easily generated. Therefore, in order to prevent iron from reacting, the system is protected by nitrogen gas. In order to eliminate the reaction slag and other heat sources of slaked lime, the mixer is also used as a steam cooler. An improved disc feeder was installed as a reactor between the mixer and the disc pelletizer. Since the mixer is batch batch non-continuous production, and the pelletizer is continuously produced, the disc feeder can be used as a buffer between batch production and continuous production, and also provides sufficient time for complete reaction of slaked lime. . Although dust is difficult to dissolve in water, the mixing process requires a lot of water. The amount of water added is automatically calculated by the process control system based on the test data. It consists of the following components: cao ripening water consumption (stoichiometric), consumption of reaction heat water, hot dust cooling water, consumption of high-temperature mixer mechanical energy, dust balling Humidified water. The evaporation of water causes a large amount of dusty steam to be generated in the mixer, the reactor, and the pelletizer. These vapors are purified and used in the purifier, and the sewage from the purifier is sent to the mixer for use. The water circulates in a completely enclosed system and does not vent to the outside, and the water used throughout the process is fresh water that is added to the purifier. Since the lime-containing dust is very viscous after being humidified, the mixer is generally equipped with an automatic cleaning device. The wet bulb from the pelletizer is dried on a belt dryer to facilitate storage. The finished ball has high mechanical strength, maintains good stability in a humid environment, and is suitable for long distance transportation.

As the requirements of environmental legislation become more and more strict, the requirements for the environmental adaptability of steel enterprises are also constantly improved, and the corresponding bag filter system for each previous assembly line is required to be perfected. Therefore, some technical methods to reduce energy consumption, reduce waste discharge and recycle waste are widely promoted in steel mills. Some steel plant waste recycling and reuse technologies developed in recent years have been successfully applied. These technologies can be used to reduce waste emissions, save waste disposal costs, and recycle some of the products containing fe and zn.

The waste mainly comes from the fine dust of the bag filter and the dust generated in various production processes. In the process of recycling waste, dust-free treatment is required, and processes such as bond forming, pelletizing, briquetting, and brick making are often used. A common production process of the above process treatment method is a mixing or waste mixing process of waste. The mixing system must be capable of mixing, humidifying, mixing, compacting, pre-forming, reacting, cooling, etc. The above functions can be achieved by using a countercurrent intensive mixer. Mixed raw materials often contain some difficult-to-handle recycled materials, such as hard (sinter, coke), corrosive (chloride-containing materials), spark-prone (fe-containing powder), reactive (lime) or Recycled material with high viscosity and easy to form into a group.
